yellow dress heaven online

Hello my darlings! How are you feeling this warm summer day? I am certainly feeling optimistic about the future and I am excited to start getting back on track with my blog. I know I say that every single time and the truth is that life has been rather hectic lately. But I just love posting here and I really want to do it more regularly.

Anyways, today I wanted to put together a little wish list with an item that I see as a staple in my summer wardrobe. The yellow dress!

Dresses are my go-to for warmer months and I believe you can easily incorporate them into most social situations. They allow you to show some skin, feel the summer breeze and embrace your feminine side while staying sexy and comfortable (well, most of the times). And yellow is perfect for this season since it is vivid, fun and happy and it instantly rings summer.

The first item on my wishlist is a Knot Gingham Cami women mini yellow dress that is the definition of cuteness and looks perfect for summer walks. What I like about it is that you can dress it up or down and pair it with white sneakers, sandals, espadrilles and even throw a denim jacket over top.

The second one is technically a romper which looks like a dress but is much more comfortable - unless you need to use the restroom. I love the neckline and I feel that it would flatter many women. And, because it is yellow and not pink, it doesn't look childish which is always a plus.

The third item is also a striped romper, but this one has a much more relaxed vibe. I like that it is more casual and, in my vacation deprived head, it screams resort. Plus, like the previous one, you can remove the belt if you like and pair it with several different items.

Lastly, I chose this mid-calf dress with 1/2 sleeves for a more polished look. By that, I mean that this dress is not exactly fit for the beach but it goes without saying that you can pair it with white trainers or slides to make it more everyday appropriate.
Is it just me or the lemon print reminds you too of Dolce and Gabbana? I simply adore it!

Hello my loves! How are you feeling today? I am so exhausted because I was tackling exams and work all week. I am trying to relax a bit and let off steam but, as I am sure you know, life gets a bit overwhelming sometimes. Hopefully, I'll feel stronger in a few days time.

Anyway today I wanted to share with you a highly anticipated review. In case you've never heard of it, Gio Dreveli Lashes is a lash company started by a greek influencer. Gio is well known for her gorgeous beauty looks, so when we heard that she was coming out with lashes we were all very excited.

I was lucky enough to be sent a pair, "Athena" to be specific, and I was beyond thrilled to try them. First things first, the packaging (video) is a real eye catcher, sparkling with silver glitter and gold writing. The lashes are also pretty impressive. They look luxurious and feel soft since they are handmade with Korean silk.

Now for the cons... I really wanted to love them, I did. But, especially the style I was sent was so dramatic and intense and from afar it looked as if I had two black fluffs on my face. The lash band was bigger than my eyelid (I have rather average sized lids) which I know may not be a problem for some of you but it sure was for me. I didn't want to trim them because, as you can see, the lashes have a certain shape and wisp and I was afraid of ruining them. I mean, they do cost 19 euros which is a lot if you are on a budget.

Apart from the application, they also felt really heavy and uncomfortable on my eyes and, given the fact that I have relatively small features, they looked huge and did not blend well with my face. They also cast a shadow on my eyes which made me look really harsh, especially from afar, as you can see in the picture above. I normally rock my baby face so that really didn't work with my aesthetic.

Don't get me wrong, the lashes are beautiful. They look gorgeous and really amp up any makeup look and give you doll eyes. They just were too uncomfortable for me - to the point I removed them before heading home - and too dramatic. And you guys know I am all about the drama when it comes to makeup so, if you are not about that life, I would suggest steering clear from this particular style.

It makes me sad since I have seen so many girls rock them on Instagram and I wish I loved them more because they are really gorgeous. I just don't like things annoying me on my eyes.

I don't know if any of you guys have tried this style or these lashes in general, but I would love to hear your opinion on these. You know I don't like to write negative things on here or surround myself with negativity in general, but I just wanted to give you guys my honest opinion, like I always do.

Hello my dears! How are you all holding up after Easter break? I had the best time during the break but now I am back to my everyday routine with work and college essays and I am just swamped. Even though my schedule is pretty hectic, my little Easter getaway really fuelled me and motivated me to keep going. I also wanted to get this post out of the way so I can start working on other, exciting things for you!

Anyways, this is another post for AXDW. In case you missed the last one, you can check it out and discover my outfit, my makeup and my favorite looks from the shows.

For the 4th day of the shows, I wanted to put together a chic and polished look that was still feminine. I chose high-waisted striped pants in charcoal grey and a pink ladylike bag with pearls and a gold chain (my absolute favorite piece) from Stradivarius. The pants are SO comfortable and versatile and you can literally dress them up or down for so many different occasions.

My ballet pumps and my structured black coat are from Zara and they are also basic pieces in my wardrobe. Thus, I wanted a little extra detail to my look and I added a vintage see-through lace top and a bralette from Oysho underneath. To finish it off, I added gold handmade earrings from Strass Bijoux. I am beyond obsessed with this look and with how comfortable it was and I would totally wear it again!

As for my makeup, well, you can expect a full post about it in the near future 😉

The shows on the 4th day were pretty spectacular and they really impressed me and my fashion friends. Some pieces that really stood out to me were the baby blue embellished dresses from Hermina's Raea, the gorgeous ladylike dresses from Vassilis Zoulias and the dreamy summer collection from Follie Follie that really blended so nicely with the marble architectural elements of the venue.

One more fashion week has come to an end, which you probably already know if you follow me on Instagram! Athens Xclusive Designers Week takes place here in Greece twice a year and I always love going. I may not adore every single bit of it (like how chaotic it is) but I do enjoy dressing up, meeting up with my friends from the industry and seeing what the designers propose for the upcoming seasons. It's like a big fashion party!

This year I only went there for two out of the five days since, over the years, I have become more eclectic and I choose to only see the designers I really like. If you've ever been to fashion week, you understand how tiring it is to attend every single show. I was very tired in advance, so I just wanted to enjoy some good quality shows.

For my outfit on the first day, I wanted to go big and I clearly didn't seem to care about the "less is more" rule. I wore loose-fitting, black, high-waisted pants from Zara, which were rather simple, so I decided to pair them with a vintage leopard print shirt and a vintage yellow jacket.

axdw heaven online

I absolutely adore the contrast and the mix n' match vibe of the look.

I didn't want to wear heels since I had to use public transportation to get there, so I opted for chic black ballerinas also from Zara and I finished the look with a vintage Chanel-looking bag and gold statement earrings from Strass Bijoux.

As for my makeup, I chose nude lips since I didn't want to overpower the yellow jacket with vivid colors. Thus, I set my focus on the eyes, with a brown smokey look and simple black wings. To finish it off I added blinding highlighter, which is always a must for me and, well, I already had bold brows to begin with.

The eyeshadows I used were Sephora brand, the lipstick, the highlighter, the blush and the contouring kit were Makeup Revolution, the eyeliner and the foundation were L'oreal, the concealer was NYX and the mascara was Max Factor.

I really liked the shows I attended, especially Olga Karaververi, Tassos Mitropoulos and Kathy Heyndels. I loved the romantic wedding dresses, the floral prints, the bomber jackets and the vivid colors and there were definitely pieces that I want to make mine and incorporate into my wardrobe!

Hello my darlings! How are you this lovely day? I am so overwhelmed with work and college essays but I really wanted to upload this article since I really want to stay on track with my posts here.

Anyway, in case you didn't know, Spring Break is right around the corner and so is Easter. That is why I wanted to share with you one very popular Greek destination that everyone seems to prefer during this time of the year.

Tinos is a beautiful island located in the Aegean that attracts tons of tourists - Greeks and Foreigners - each year.

One thing that seems to be the focal point of the island is the church called Panagia of Tinos and it is by far the most coveted place to visit among religious Christians. The temple, in my opinion, is worth visiting even if you are not Christian since the interior and the exterior are both pretty impressive from an architectural aspect.

tinos heaven online

I believe that this place is great to visit, especially around Easter, even if you're not religious at all. You will find gorgeous landscapes all over the island and picturesque villages like Volax - pictured here. You can get beautifully lost in the little alleys at Chora, admire the traditional blue and white houses and soak up the famous Greek sunsets from various key places.

tinos heaven online

Since it can get rather cold around Easter time, I would suggest steering clear from the numerous, breathtaking beaches of the island. You can fully enjoy them during the warmer months but, for now, you should probably go there just for a hike. Not being able to swim during spring break could be a con but, believe me, the beautiful scenery and the blossoming landscape will reward you.

Tinos is a quieter destination when it comes to Greek islands, but that doesn't mean there won't be things for you to do. Ask the locals for advice and they will surely give you the best tips in order to explore, eat and have fun in the best way!

What do you guys think about Tinos? Have you ever visited this island? Is it on your bucket list? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! ♥

Happy Women's Day my loves! I am beyond excited to be writing this post, since this day is so important.

I want to start with a little flashback. Ever since I was a little girl, my favorite thing was my barbie dolls. I had dozens, as I am sure you did too, and I devoted hours to play with them. Looking back to that time, I can understand how much that has affected me as a woman. Even though all my dolls were "different", they were all exactly the same. Some were blonde, some were brunette, some were white and some were black but, without any exceptions, they all were ridiculously similar. Their bodies, their eyes, their sleek hair, their facial structure...

As a little girl, whenever I tried to picture my life in the future, I would portray myself as one of my dolls. Tall, blonde, slim and overall perfect. It took me a while to realize how bad that was for me. Being a perfectionist in every aspect of my life, up to this day, I strive with the idea of being flawless. Even as I grow and mature, it is still difficult to convince myself that flaws are what makes us who we are.

I could go on and on about body image and social oppression, but I believe you've all heard that before. Yes, not everyone can look like a model, nobody can look exactly like a Barbie doll without surgery and there should be more diversity in our society and, of course, in our toys.

Yes, this is a blog that focuses on appearance. But I've never said that we should all look the same. My goal is to share my passion and my style with others and inspire women to express themselves and find their style.

Now that this is clear, let's focus on four words from that previous sentence. Passion, inspire, women, express. These are the words that come to mind when I look at Mattel's new collections "Inspiring Women" and "Shero" (she + hero).

These collections include 17 new dolls, honoring real women that have changed the world. You can find dolls of the pioneer female pilot, Amelia Earhart, the legendary artist, Frida Kahlo and the mathematical genius, Katherine Johnson, who worked with NASA and helped Americans successfully go to the moon.

You can also find contemporary athletes, chefs, scientists, artists, journalists etc in these collections. All the dolls have are not alike and they are designed to resemble the face and the figure of these inspiring women. They all have flexible limbs and wear their signature clothes.

Out of all the special Barbie collections that Mattel has released over the years, this has to be by far my favorite. I am in awe of these women, of everything they have achieved and I feel so inspired looking at their work and reading about their lives.

Go on @barbie.. I'm loving the new range of 'inspiring women' dolls👍 #barbie #dolls #inspiringwomen #fbb #vegetarian #femalemuscle #femalebodybuilding #strong #stronggirls #strongwomen #sixpack #squats #workout #motivation #fit #fitfam #fitgirl #musclegirl #girlswithmuscle #muscularwomen #biceps #gainz #girlswholift #squats #gym #gymlife #protein #abs #naturalbodybuilding #muscle

If you don't get the fascination and the importance of these collections, please let me explain. Trough the years, all our dolls were princesses, mermaids, fairies... Extraordinary creatures that make you daydream and seem befitting for little girls. But, these new ones seem to give us a very much needed reality check.

No, women don't only have a fun, vibrant side. They don't stay at home or always chill with their friends. They are not defined by their "Ken" nor by their relationship status. Our sole purpose is not to find love. Sure, that's amazing to have. But we should stop teaching girls that this should be their primary goal in life and that they should look good in order to be liked by men.

They should look good for themselves and they should do everything in their power to be better human beings every single day. Women are strong, women are warriors, women are intelligent. And they can do anything they set their mind to. Our dream shouldn't be to look pretty and get married. There is no doubt that creating a family is primal. But we shouldn't neglect everything else. We are not accessories and we certainly aren't decorations.

So, I guess, this is my advice for you. I am not going to ramble about how it's what's inside that matters. I hope you already know that by now. My point is that you are powerful. You are unique inside and out and you should use that individuality, channel what nature has blessed you with and make the most of it. You may not be fit to be a scientist or a politician. But you find your passion, find what you do best and, girl, go ahead and do it. Believe in yourself and never let anyone tell you that there is something you can't do. Never let anyone - even yourself - convince you that you are unworthy simply because you are a woman.

Just to be clear, being a woman doesn't make you better than men. It makes you different! We are all human and we should all have the same rights and be treated the same. But each human being is different in the best way. Women are different from men - and not inferior- and yet not two women are alike.

So embrace what makes you different. Break the pattern. Don't care about other people's expectations or opinions and do your thing. If you don't like the way people treat you or the discriminations towards women, do something. It is all in your hands. You are in charge of yourself and you can be the change. I repeat, you are p o w e r f u l!

Love yourself. Embrace the power that lies within you and celebrate your female nature! ♥

Hello my loves! How are you this lovely day? It is so sunny and warm today in Greece and it really affects my mood in the best way. The sun coming through the windows just feels so rejuvenating and gives me the energy to be very productive.

Along with springtime, of course, comes wedding season. What bride wouldn't want to get married when the weather is so wonderful and all the world seems to smile? It's the perfect time to have either an indoor or outdoor wedding with gorgeous natural light.

Also, nice weather means that you won't need to be limited to a dress with long sleeves and you won't have to wear any other garment over your wedding gown.

Now that I mentioned it, the dress is probably one of the most important decisions when it comes to planning a wedding. This is probably the one time in your life when literally everyone's eyes are set on you. You are in the spotlight and, like it or not, everyone is going to have an opinion on your gown. Other than that, wedding photos are forever and you need to pick the right dress since you're going to be looking at it in pictures for the rest of your life. You are stressing over venues, guests, invitations ...your dress shouldn't be one more think to cause you anxiety.

wedding dress heaven online

If you find that decision to be really hard, I am here to help! The truth is that there are so many different dress styles to choose from. Long, short, sweetheart etc. Personally, I prefer a-line wedding dresses. They are just the perfect combination of classic and modern and I believe that they flatter every body type. You can opt for a chic, clean look, or amp it up with lace, embroidery, and embellishments. You can have slits, sheer negative space, long sleeves, open back... Basically, anything you put your mind to.

And let's not forget about the mother of the bride. It's one of the most special days for her too and she needs to look amazing. I would recommend a mother of the bride dress in tea length. It's very chic and appropriate, in my opinion.

What do you guys think? What is your favorite wedding dress style? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! ♥
