BAD HAIR DAY? JUST WIG IT!

Hello my darlings! Happy new year! Can you believe it is 2020 already? Personally, I am very pumped for the new decade to start, but I will not bore you with my New Year's Resolutions. It is safe to say that we all have set our own personal (unrealistic?) goals and it is best not to share them in case we end up binge watching our favorite shows on Netflix all year long. 😝

In any case, today I wanted to talk to you about a topic that is very near and dear to all our hearts. You guessed it, hair. A woman's hair is, in my humble opinion, one of the most powerful accessories that can make or break any look. And while we can spend hours drooling over the sleek locks that show up on our Instagram feeds and researching ways to make our own hair like that, sometimes things don't work out as planned.

A bad hair day could happen due to various reasons, from the weather and the products you used, to a hormonal imbalance. Figuring our which is the cause of the problem sure helps to combat it in the future but, when you want to leave the house looking flawless and your hair just isn't having it, you need something quick and efficient. Enter, wigs.

For a long time, I would picture wigs in my head as the cheap plastic accessories my mom would buy me when I was a kid for Halloween. Thus, you can imagine my surprise when I figured out how wrong I was. Nowadays, wigs have evolved into a luxurious addition to your beauty routine and can be so well made that people won't be able to tell the difference between the wig and your real hair. Soft, silky and shiny, they come in just about every length, style and color you can think of and, of course, you can style them yourself to your own liking.

BAD HAIR DAY? JUST WIG IT!

I recently came across Niawigs and I was in awe of the vast and well-curated selection the carry. In particular, the two variations that caught my eye were the full lace wigs and the luxy ones. What is the difference, you ask?

Well, Full Lace Wigs feature full lace cap that can be worn with or without adhesive. They are made with adjustable straps and combs for a secure fit. Like any other full lace wig, these units are 100% hand tied so they can be parted anywhere and can be worn in a high pony.

Luxy Wigs, made of 100% Virgin human hair, all come with the pre-plucked hairline, pre-bleached knots and pre-sewn elastic band. Virgin hair, completely in its original state and has not been permed, dyed, colored or bleached in any way, is considered to be the rarest and best hair on the market. So wigs made of virgin hair can last much longer than any other wigs made of lower-grade human hair. You can also style your virgin hair wigs like your own hair, which is very easy and convenient.

Hello my loves! How are you feeling today? I am so exhausted because I was tackling exams and work all week. I am trying to relax a bit and let off steam but, as I am sure you know, life gets a bit overwhelming sometimes. Hopefully, I'll feel stronger in a few days time.

Anyway today I wanted to share with you a highly anticipated review. In case you've never heard of it, Gio Dreveli Lashes is a lash company started by a greek influencer. Gio is well known for her gorgeous beauty looks, so when we heard that she was coming out with lashes we were all very excited.

I was lucky enough to be sent a pair, "Athena" to be specific, and I was beyond thrilled to try them. First things first, the packaging (video) is a real eye catcher, sparkling with silver glitter and gold writing. The lashes are also pretty impressive. They look luxurious and feel soft since they are handmade with Korean silk.

Now for the cons... I really wanted to love them, I did. But, especially the style I was sent was so dramatic and intense and from afar it looked as if I had two black fluffs on my face. The lash band was bigger than my eyelid (I have rather average sized lids) which I know may not be a problem for some of you but it sure was for me. I didn't want to trim them because, as you can see, the lashes have a certain shape and wisp and I was afraid of ruining them. I mean, they do cost 19 euros which is a lot if you are on a budget.

Apart from the application, they also felt really heavy and uncomfortable on my eyes and, given the fact that I have relatively small features, they looked huge and did not blend well with my face. They also cast a shadow on my eyes which made me look really harsh, especially from afar, as you can see in the picture above. I normally rock my baby face so that really didn't work with my aesthetic.

Don't get me wrong, the lashes are beautiful. They look gorgeous and really amp up any makeup look and give you doll eyes. They just were too uncomfortable for me - to the point I removed them before heading home - and too dramatic. And you guys know I am all about the drama when it comes to makeup so, if you are not about that life, I would suggest steering clear from this particular style.

It makes me sad since I have seen so many girls rock them on Instagram and I wish I loved them more because they are really gorgeous. I just don't like things annoying me on my eyes.

I don't know if any of you guys have tried this style or these lashes in general, but I would love to hear your opinion on these. You know I don't like to write negative things on here or surround myself with negativity in general, but I just wanted to give you guys my honest opinion, like I always do.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! ♥
Hello my loves! How are you all this lovely day? Personally I am so overwhelmed with work and college and that is why I have been m.i.a. Anyways, I'm back with a beauty post! I know you guys enjoy these as much as I do.
Today, I am going to share with you my fall hair hacks. In my circle, it is common knowledge that hair is my ish. I have a ton and it is very long and voluminous. Anybody who needs hair tips and tricks always comes to me and I try not to fail them. I have tried plenty of things and I know what works and what doesn't and I love to help.

Singing in the shower

My first tip definitely has to be about hair washing. In my personal experience, good hair days start in the shower. It is important that you pick a shampoo that suits your hair type and not use just anything that is cheap or your roommates are using.
Another thing that you need to keep in mind, is not washing daily. I do understand that it's hard not to wash when your hair feels flat and oily and you've only just washed it the day before.
But, hear me out. Washing daily will, yes, clean your hair and your scalp - but it will also strip your skin from its natural oils (that are actually beneficial).
If you have thick and dry hair, you can get away with washing once a week. If you have normal hair just go for 2-3 times a week and, if you have very thin and oily hair, try to leave a day between washingσ.
Your hair will be stronger and it you will experience less hair loss.

Rapunzel Goals

When you have tons of long, blonde hair (like I do) it goes without saying that people will call you Rapunzel. And, like I mentioned above, that they will ask your secret for growing long hair.
I think it all has to do with the way you treat your hair. If you use heat on a daily basis (for curls, straightening etc.) you're damaging your hair. Big time. It is only natural that it will get burned over time, grow weaker and have tons of split ends. That is not a cute look.
If you want your hair to grow and be healthy you need to let it rest and embrace it's natural shape. It will thank you after a few months. If you want to use hot tools occasionally, it's fine. Just don't forget to prep with heat protectant.

If none of the above works, you might want to change your nutrition and try to be healthy from the inside out.

Hello my loves! I've missed you soooo much. I know I'm the worst for not posting anything for like a month or so, but I have good reason. I barely had any time to breathe. I've been so busy lately with work and college and, being the perfectionist I am, I couldn't add another task in my daily routine. My blog is my baby, my favorite way of expressing myself and sharing my passion with all of you. This is why I don't want to half-ass anything here. I just wait until I have enough time, energy and excitement to write an amazing article for you (and for me too 😝). I hope you understand ♥
Anyway, today I wanted to talk to you about something that has been on my mind for the longest time. Peach makeup! If you know me, you know that makeup is my obsession, my passion, my weakness. I can spend hours watching tutorials, hauls, Instagram posts, talking about makeup and, of course, doing my own.
I absolutely love experimenting with trends and trying out new products so, when I found out about the peach trend, I wanted to try it right away. Now, what I love about makeup, is that you can recreate any possible look using only the products that you already have in your collection. Yes, everyone and their mom has released something peach-themed, from Too Faced to Kylie to Colourpop. And yes, I wish I could try them all out. Being on a budget has, unfortunately, never favored anyone who is obsessed with cosmetics :/ But, luckily, I made it work.
sick sweet warmth 😉🍑

I used my favorite peach blushes and all the eyeshadows with a warmer peach undertone that I could find in my collection. Also, you guys know that I love to mix n' match more than anything. Thus, I used different lipsticks to achieve the perfect peach lip at home. I was astounded by the result.
Now, why so much fuss about peach, you ask. Well, first of all, it immediately makes me think of spring. It's warm, soft, vibrant and it's just one of those colors that instantly make you happy. Plus, I feel it adds a healthy glow to the skin, while complementing all skin and eye colors out there. Basically, the perfect transition color for spring. Sweet yet interesting.
You can use it to achieve pretty much any look, from soft everyday simplicity, to full face glam! It's less cliche than pink and less tacky and bold than orange. The ideal hybrid that looks good on everyone! What's not to love? ♥

Happy New Year everyone! Can you believe it's finally 2017? I am so glad that we are moving on from the year that must not be named ;) I had the most amazing time on nye and I really hope you did too. Being genuinely happy around my friends and family is something so precious and empowering and it really gave me hope for the future. May the new year bring happiness, health, love and success to us all! I wish all the best for you and your loved ones ♥
I don't know about you, but makeup always makes me happy. Thus, one of the things that put a smile on my face this holiday season, were all the press samples I received. Aromca was kind enough to send me a bunch of makeup and I can't thank them enough!
I mostly got lip products. A gorgeous waterproof lipliner from Artdeco in the shade "10", a lovely deep red shade(1st swatch). I also got a matte red lipstick (Perfect Mat 116 Poppy Red) from the same brand (3rd swatch) and a creamy one from Erre Due (Full Color Lipstick No.420 Criminal Red) in a similar shade (2nd swatch). Both of them have orange undertones-which are not my favorite-but they are very pretty. The only downside to the E.D. lipstick is that is bleeds and gets on my teeth. Like, a lot :/ So I guess I either need a lip primer or a lipliner underneath.
The third lipstick that I got was also from Erre Due (4th swatch) in the shade 587. It's a gorgeous matte vine shade that is right up my alley. It vanished when I ate, but stayed put all night when I was drinking on NYE ;)
I'm really excited about the highlighter that I got too. It's in the shade Cinderella Pink-My Precious Glow (5th swatch) and it's a lovely pinky-white shade. It offers more of a subtle glow, but it gets better if you spray it with some Fix Plus. It has a gorgeous floral design and it smells like a delicious cupcake♥ #yum
Other than that, I got the Velvet Touch Lengthening Mascara from Artdeco and a brow pencil from Erre Due. I haven't tried either of them because I already have some mascaras in my rotation and I didn't want this one to dry out and I also gave the brow pencil to my mum as a gift, since I don't need to fill in my eyebrows.
All in all, I am beyond excited with all the makeup that was send to me and I can't wait to play more with it!
[the first video shows the highlighter, the second one my nye look featuring the vine lip from Erre Due-so does the pic of me smiling, and the other picture shows me wearing the red lipliner and lipstick from Artdeco]

What do you guys think of these products? What makeup look did you opt for on NYE? Let me know in the comments below ♥
