?More or less?
?More or less? by ell0oukaa
At my last post I mentioned turtlenecks and how it's
not that easy to style them properly. The truth is that
there are so many ways coming to mind right now but
when you are in a hurry you are most likely to get stuck
when it comes to style your turtleneck. Last time I also
talked to you about basic pieces. So, it occured to me that
it would be nice to create a basic day-to-night look and
add some statement pieces. I ended up creating two similar
looks, an expensive and a more affordable one. Don't get
me wrong. I absolutely love designer clothes, but we need
to be realistic. I know that for regular people(including me)
it's hard to afford at least one, let alone, all the pieces in
the first look. But, as I've mentioned before, money
doesn't make the difference! So I'm proposing you two
equally chic options of the same look and it's up to you
to decide. I would complete the looks with a boyfriend coat
or a biker jacket and some stackable rings.
Please let me know which one of the two looks you prefer,
tell me if you want me to create another look
with turtlenecks or any other pieces and follow me on Polyvore!

Grey days, grey ways, grey clothes... Sometimes it feels like everything is so depressing and blue (well...grey...) and that there is nothing you can do about it. But it's not true! You may have to wear tons of clothes that add an extra 5kg, but it doesn't mean that you can't be fashionable. Turtlenecks can be tricky so you have to make sure that it will be cold all day long, otherwise you'll end up sweating really bad and no one wants that. With such a thick sweater it's not always easy to wear a necklace. This is one of the reasons why I am a huge lover of bracelets, especially during winter. Add some sparckle at a total black oufit by stacking your bracelets and bangles and make some fun combinations.
I know it's not the best confidence boost to walk around dressed in color while it's dark and cloudy outside. I, myself adore black and grey outfits so much. But this whole weather might turn your mood grey too. If you prefer to go for safe looks it's ok! Why not lighten up your entire outfit with a big bright smile instead? It's raining and you can't go out, do what you want, and your plans for the day are cancelled? That's fine! You can always use this day to relax a little bit. Stay inside, read a good book, listen to your favorite songs, watch your favorite series, take a fluffy blanket and stay warm on the couch, drink loads of tea and hot cocoa, call your friends, paint, be creative!

I know this is nothing special, but for my first outfit post I wanted to create something classic, easy and comfortable, yet elegant. So, I paired this beige trench coat with skinny black pants, leather ankle boots and, of course, the life saving white shirt. To glam it up a little bit, I added a gold chain necklace and some gold rings. I was aiming for a basic look with some must-have pieces, because you simply can't go wrong with these!
I wanted to show you the view from the roof but at that time of the day this was the only angle that photos could be taken from. So, instead you're getting a pretty good look of the chimneys... You can understand how unstable the weather was by just looking at the different colors of the sky. It wasn't exactly what you call a dreamy day since it was windy and cold and that definitely doesn't help when you want to take some descent you can see below...

I know this post is not about fashion but I just felt I should share it with you and show you my kind of summer. Greece, is a small European country with an enormous historic past. There are so many things to visit and see, from ancient monuments to unbelievable landscapes. But above all, Greece is famous for the islands. So, if you haven’t yet experienced the Mediterranean summer, you should definitely visit my country. Summer 2013 was mesmerizing since I had the chance to visit tree beautiful Greek islands.Today, I’m going to show you one of them, which happens to be the least famous of all three. Unknown, even between Greeks, in the Aegean, is located the tiny island of Schoinousa. A bit rustic, with donkeys, chickens and little houses, offers above all the chance to go to heavenly beaches and swim in clear blue waters. It was my first time there and I would definitely go again and again and I recommend you to do too. Looking at these photos makes me miss summer even more! Enjoy!

Fashion Week is in just a few weeks and I can’t wait! Yesterday I ran into some photos from the 14th Athens Fashion Week last October. It was the first Fashion Week I attended alone, as ever since I was a tiny little girl my mum used to drag me with her to fashion shows. So now you know who' s to blame for me becoming a fashion addict. As I was saying, all the shows were great but I personally (and my friend) fell in love with Makis Tselios Spring-Summer Collection. It was full of satin and lace in earth tones and pastels combined with pearls and other elegant pieces. It was so breathtaking we couldn’t say a single word apart from wow! Let’s hope that the upcoming event will be even better!

Hello everyone! My name is Elena. I also respond to Ellen or just Elle. God knows how long I’ve waited to start this blog! I am extremely passionate about anything that intrigues my imagination and inspires me to create new things. Fashion has been my passion since I was a little girl and it has become a part of me through the years. Fashion is not just about clothes and accessories and neither about money. Fashion is people and their ideas. It’s all of us who have true passion and inspiration, because we are the ones who create fashion. And it’s our character and style that defines it. By creating this blog I wish to share my passion with people all around the world!
