Hello my darlings! How are you this lovely day? I am so overwhelmed with work and college essays but I really wanted to upload this article since I really want to stay on track with my posts here.
Anyway, in case you didn't know, Spring Break is right around the corner and so is Easter. That is why I wanted to share with you one very popular Greek destination that everyone seems to prefer during this time of the year.
Tinos is a beautiful island located in the Aegean that attracts tons of tourists - Greeks and Foreigners - each year.
One thing that seems to be the focal point of the island is the church called Panagia of Tinos and it is by far the most coveted place to visit among religious Christians. The temple, in my opinion, is worth visiting even if you are not Christian since the interior and the exterior are both pretty impressive from an architectural aspect.

I believe that this place is great to visit, especially around Easter, even if you're not religious at all. You will find gorgeous landscapes all over the island and picturesque villages like Volax - pictured here. You can get beautifully lost in the little alleys at Chora, admire the traditional blue and white houses and soak up the famous Greek sunsets from various key places.
Since it can get rather cold around Easter time, I would suggest steering clear from the numerous, breathtaking beaches of the island. You can fully enjoy them during the warmer months but, for now, you should probably go there just for a hike. Not being able to swim during spring break could be a con but, believe me, the beautiful scenery and the blossoming landscape will reward you.
Tinos is a quieter destination when it comes to Greek islands, but that doesn't mean there won't be things for you to do. Ask the locals for advice and they will surely give you the best tips in order to explore, eat and have fun in the best way!
What do you guys think about Tinos? Have you ever visited this island? Is it on your bucket list? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! ♥
