Heaven Online

espadrilles heaven online

If there was an award for the most popular/favorite shoe of spring and summer, this year, the winner would most certainly be: THE ESPADRILLES!

Starting with straw at the bottom, most of the times, and continuing with anything you can imagine on top. Simple fabric, leather, mesh detailing, satin, suede, lace and even pony skin! Again, every brand and every store I checked has at least one pair. Sometimes you'll find them as simple flats, others as flatforms or lace-up shoes. I know there are also wedges, but I decided to stick to the flats today.

Remember the time I told you about the trend of man-repelling shoes? Well, this time, I totally get why all the fuss! Espadrilles are chic, comfortable, easy to style, suitable for any time of the day, perfect if you're not ready yet for sandals and flip flops and simply go with everything especially if they are more minimalistic like the ones from Chanel (above).

I must admit I already bought two pairs in the last month and I love them so SO much. Maybe it's because they make vacation look closer than it is, maybe because I can wear them in the city everyday and also take them with me when I go on vacation! It's my shoe crush I guess! Did you notice that some pairs from Zara and Mango look familiar?

So, those of you who have been hesitating to get yourself a pair of espadrilles, I say, Go for it! For now, take a look at some nice pairs I found!

Do you guys like espadrilles? Which one of these is your favorite? Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

If you've visited my blog before, you probably know my addiction to lippies and nail polishes. I just need to have more and more and new colors keep coming out. Of course, I don't buy all the things I crave, so the only thing I can do is daydream.

I'm a big fan of Essie nail polishes and their new Summer 2014 and Neons 2014 collections are absolutely addictive. I must admit that I prefer the neons for summer. All the colors are great and I simply can't pick a favorite. The beige (Urban Jungle) from the first collection, is so chic and you can totally wear it all year long.

The weather is finally warm and sunny here and with the correct accessories (nail polish is an accessory, I've told you before!) you can barely smell the summer approaching. It doesn't matter that we need to stay in the city and do really boring stuff that require hard work. We can always stay in fashion and keep it cool and stylish!

I can work on my blog, read great books, drink cold juices and tea, sketch, hang with friends and you can do all the stuff that make you happy in order to cope easily with your other obligations!

Here are the new Essie eye-candy shades for this summer! Enjoy!

Summer 2014

Hey everyone! I know you hate Mondays, because, who doesn't? You have to wake up early, go to work/school, put up with your life. And I know this sounds like everyday, but when you do this right after spending two days relaxing, partying, being with friends or whatever you like to do in the weekends, it's even harder. Plus, diets always start on Monday. I thought it would be nice to make a post to make Monday a little less well, Monday.

So, I created this sort of wish list, with a bunch of items that I've found this past week and that I would want to make mine. Let's start.

1. Denim white moto jacket-Topshop: So perfect for summer nights and spring. Go-with-everything and day-to-night piece that I would totally also wear early fall.

2. Stripped shirt-ZARA: Kinda androgynous piece. I would love it oversized with a pair of jeans or shorts. Classic chic, yet young.

3. Priscilla Shocking Pink lip gloss-NARS: Vibrant fuchsia. Girly, trendy and fresh.

4. Beach dress-H&M: Is black and white a trend? Nah :P I would wear it mostly at the beach. I like that it's stripped, but not so much.

5. Alluring Aquatic Collection nail polishes-MAC: I live for metallic nail polishes. I saw the entire makeup collection at the store and I loved it. I always go for nail polish. Especially if it's so damn amazing. All year long kind of thing.

6. Broderie cropped top-Stradivarius: I saw it on the model when I visited their site and I was like "I gotta have this!"!

7. Keith Haring top-Forever 21: From their new artist inspired collection. Not available in Europe :(

What do you guys think of my Monday's Favorites? Tell me some of yours. Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!
athens national garden

Happy Sunday everyone! Let's go back a few Sundays, the day I visited the National Garden. I was born and raised in Athens and so did my parents and grandparents. I love Greece so much, for the natural beauty, the history, the sea and the sky. Sometimes it gets a little or a lot overwhelming in the big city. It feels like you need a getaway from the cars and the stress.

So, you can imagine what a delight it is to be able to do that, without having to leave the city. The National Garden, used to be the Royal Garden, right next to the old palace that is now the parliament. So if you thought that this beautiful place is like in the suburbs or anything, you may want to rethink. It is right in the city center and you can go there with any public transportation.

It's peaceful, full of trees and flowers, and I'm sure that if I had more time, I would have seen more. One of the best parts is that everyone seems to be respecting the peacefulness of the place because, even though there were many people there, everyone was quiet and devoted to something. Jogging, reading, drinking a beverage, having a picnic or just enjoying some alone time in this beautiful place.

You can also find a cafe inside of it, and lakes and many more. I just love how the sun rays pass through the leaves creating a beautiful abstract pattern and how you can look up and see the tall palm trees and clear blue sky. Kinda reminds me of some scenes from old movies in the countryside of England (not the palm trees!), but with slightly more light!

It's absurd to think that this huge place once belonged to only one person. But now it's free for everyone and I highly recommend you visit it. I promise you won't regret it!

Do you guys like this "little" paradise? Have you ever visited Athens? Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!
