CELEBRITY HAIR 2014

Hey guys! I hope you're having a great week. If not, then you should just look at the girls in this post. I'm sure they'll make you feel much better. After all, this is the reason this blog exists. To make you, and me, feel good and share our passion about all the beautiful things in this world!

Hair is very sensitive matter to me. God knows how crazy my hair is but I wouldn't last a day without it. I just love it so much. Not just mine, but any woman's and man's hair, provided that they take good care of it. Just like everything else, it is a way to express ourselves and show a part of our personality to the world.

I know that not everyone is blessed with "perfect hair", but there's no such thing as perfect. Sure, some is easier to handle, but clean and healthy hair is just a delight no matter the type.

Talking about perfection, I thought it would be nice to make a post about my favorite celebrity hair of 2014. Both favorite, celebrities and hair^*

Let's start with the gorgeous lady above, Emma Stone. I swear, this girl can do no wrong. Red, blonde and now a little bit of both! Combined with her amazing eyes and skin tone, and face and personality and talent, well...just...no words!

CELEBRITY HAIR 2014

Moving on to Queen B. I must admit I don't always love the things she does with her hair, but when I saw her in Drunk in love (161.718.727 views btw!) I was hooked! She changed it, again, but I liked her waves!

CELEBRITY HAIR 2014

I swear, I don't think I've ever seen Blake Lively looking anything but just amazing. Or maybe it's just me because she is one of my "girl crushes"(girls I admire and love and want to be like) You'll find many of them here. Blake sticks to her beautiful long blond hair, and we just thank her for doing so!

CELEBRITY HAIR 2014

Again, I find it so hard to describe my loved ones. Cara Delevingne is simply out of this world. Ever since I saw her, I knew she had something special. Dark blonde long hair and dark eyebrows and this cute beautiful face of hers!

CELEBRITY HAIR 2014

The lovely Emma Watson has been in my fave-list for many many years now. Yes, I am a Harry Potter addict, and a proud one too! And an Emma addict as well. Actress, model and simply and icon. After having crazy hair at the first HP films, she prefers much shorter versions, or just sweet updos.

CELEBRITY HAIR 2014

I also love Hunger Games in case you didn't know. Jennifer Lawrence with her new way-too-miley-cyrus look, certainly won me. I think that not many woman can pull off a such short hair. But this talented girl with the beautiful eyes, can. I prefer her blonde!

CELEBRITY HAIR 2014

Miranda Kerr is my bestie's favorite girl. Only I know how many times we went to Mango last year without buying anything, just for her to get the catalogs with Miranda! But I like her very much too. She sure sets a great example for all of us the brunettes, with her sleek long, oh so good, hair. She is a cutie and a VS model, duh! XD

CELEBRITY HAIR 2014

I saved the craziest for last. The fierce Katy Perry! She has had the entire rainbow and a little more on her hair, and she managed to rock each color, like only she can. I love her in colors and I love her in her not-so-simple black hair. I don't like labels very much, but me and my mum  (yes i converted her!) would be proud Katycats if we had to choose. I'm so sad she isn't coming in Greece for her tour, but one day Katy, I'll come watch you perform!

I know this was half, favorite hair of 2014, and half, me blabbering about my fave girls, but you have to understand! Some of these ladies here are my idols! I hope you enjoyed!

Do you guys like these girls and their hair? Tell me about your idols! Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

We all love shopping and we all love a good deal. But finding good deals isn't always that easy. So, when you decide to buy something expensive, you should probably know what to look for in order to spend your money wisely.

My first advice would be to always pay attention to the fabric. Sometimes you may think that just because something is expensive or just because it's a designer piece, it is made from good material. But, you may end up splurging on cotton.

Invest in silk, leather, cashmere and maybe linen. This of course doesn't mean that you should spend an outrageous amount of money just because something is made of these. Nor because it's a designer product. Many people consider an investment to buy designer pieces, but this is not always true.

A good fabric and good manufacture can also be found at stores like Topshop and Zara or even at a thrift shop, at a reasonable price. Don't ever buy something because you saw it on a model or a celebrity. Different people, different bodies most of the time and, most importantly, different budget.

Always go for quality, but keep in mind that when it comes to making an investment, you should always do your research. Apart from these, I also made a small list with splurges vs investments.

1. Statement Bags

You maybe think that that new it-bag with the fun colors and prints will look amazing on you, and maybe you're right. But trendy bags go out of style real quick and can't be easily styled. I'm sure you don't want 1.000$ or more to sit in your closet.

Hint: Sometimes you also splurge in really small bags that are not practical at all.

Instead: Classic Bag

A timeless iconic bag that you can carry every single day, all day long and that fits everything you need inside it. A piece that you could possible pass to the next generations. Something you'll never regret buying.

2. Statement Jewelry

An eye-catcher for sure. Something that will make your outfit pop and will definitely make all your friends completely jealous. And you'll end up wearing it once. It may be pure gold (not!) and have the most precious stones, but how often can you wear it? And just like everything else, if it's new and too trendy, there's a risk of it going out of fashion.

Instead: Dainty Pieces

Whether it's a pair of small earrings, a necklace, or a ring, a delicate piece is always a good choice. Pretty and discreet, it's easy to style and wear every day with everything. Plus, if it has a special meaning for you, it's better to be able to wear it all the time.

3. Statement Shoes

You feel like you own the world when you wear them, like the lovely Cinderella. But I assure you that your prince probably can't afford to buy you infinite pairs of shoes. So if something is way too edgy, uncomfortable, you can't wear it at work, and it's hard to style, then it's probably not the best choice.

Hint: Stop splurging on animal prints and trendy designer shoes.

Instead: Classic Pumps

Just like I've said above. Comfy, classic, timeless, day-to-night. I'm sure that you'll be much happier if you can be proud of your investment by wearing it all the time. Every woman needs a pair of pumps that's above "descent" in black, nude and white (your choice)

4. Statement Dress

That gorgeous thing that seems to be winking at you every time you pass in front of the store and you just know that will look amazing on you. So you just buy it for a "special moment". No! That special moment is not going to come and you know it. You'll just have another great piece hanging sad in your closet.

Hint: Buy things according to your way of life. If you attend many black tie events, you obviously need a gown. If you usually hang with your friends at your local coffee house or at your place eating pizza and playing Wii, not so much.

Instead: Little Black Dress

I don't think I should say anything here. Just that if you already have too many (good for you^*) then you could go for one with a little twist. Like this amazing LBD by Saint Laurent with the open back. Chic, timeless and sexy.

5.Statement Overcoat

You want to wear your coat/jacket with literally everything, from your fancy dress, to your pj's when you walk your dog in the morning. So, if you want to invest in a quality piece, try something more basic and less extravagant.

Hint: Overcoats are usually more expensive that other things, so make sure you spend all your money on something that will keep you warm when you won't be able to pay for the electricity (just kidding).

 Instead: Leather jacket

It will never get "old" or "last season". In fact, the older it gets, the better. It will add a certain air of glory to it. It matches and upgrades everything you can possibly own and it feels great wearing it. Go for a classic design instead of an embellished, fringed or neon one.
Hint: If you are not a fan of real leather, you could always choose vegan leather. Eco friendly!

I could go on and on, but I think I've covered the basics. Always prefer the staple pieces such as a pair of black pants or plein jeans and lay low with the edgy and crazy ones. If you're a fan of these, you should definitely have them in your closet, but you may want to consider buying a more affordable version.

Invest in what you truly need. Fashion trends come and go, but there are certain pieces that you won't regret buying, even in many many years!

SOPHIA WEBSTER FOR J.CREW

Hey guys! Sorry I didn't post anything for a few days but things were pretty hectic here. I had some french exams and I hope I did well (fingers crossed!). Now that it's done, I haven't realised it yet and I'm super tired, but I felt I needed to make this post.

If you've read my blog before, you probably know that I have a huge shoe addiction, and also that I love Sophia Webster. One thing you may not know is that I also really like J.Crew. It is a perfect combination of stylish pieces for every occasion in a reasonable price most of the time! So you can obviously guess how excited I am about this collaboration.

Surprisingly, this is one of the designer's most "normal" collections. I mean no wings, no animals, nothing like that for that matter. Even though I am absolutely crazy about these, I know that some people find them "too much". I don't understand that, since all of her designs are to die for, but it's good to have some pairs for the ones who want something different but are not ready to take a big step (literally?).

I admire Sophia Webster so much and I look up to her. I am just a baby designer right now, but she is such a huge inspiration. After all, her designs reflect my personality in more than one ways. I'm pretty sure that all my friends will hate this post but I hope that you guys like it! Or you could just be inspired to step out of your comfort zone and spice things up!

Normal is boring ;)

What do you guys think of this collection? Do you like Sophia Webster? Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

We've all heard about the Met Gala. Fundraising event of the Metropolitan Museum that tons of celebrities attend every year. Glamorous and exclusive.

According to Wikipedia, in 2014 the ticket for each guest costed 25,000$! Whaaat! Of course all of our favorite celebrities were there this year, and some of their outfits were to die for. I thought it would be fun to do a little competition between 2013 and 2014.

Here are my favorite looks. I'm going to start with my love, Cara Delevingne. I won't spend any of your time blabbering about how much I admire her and how gorgeous she is. I'm just going to say that she wore pants at an event where almost everyone wears a gown. She could totally wear anything and look perfect, but I must admit that I also loved her last year's dress. Tough decision...
