PRAISE THE MIX-MASTERS

In my previous post about the Resort 2015 collections we worshiped classic elegance and chic minimalism. Today, we're going to go a little crazy and avant garde. The resort 2015 collection by Opening Ceremony, instantly caught my attention and inspired me. I love mixing different patterns, as you can see in my profile on Polyvore, but in my everyday life I usually go for more safe combinations and basic pieces. The truth is that these looks would turn many heads on the street. But we want that, don't we? It's not always easy to take the pieces from the runway to the street, but you can get an idea on how to work your prints. The safest combination that you can try is stripes with florals, but don't be afraid to take it one step further and mix interesting prints and textures together. Of course, as you can see, you can still achieve a minimalistic or a more polished result. Chunky pieces, masculine and feminine silhouettes and lots of layers. Tones of blue, black and white and pearly peachy rose. Certainly works for me!
Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Dare to wear something that you don't usually go for. Pair prints with prints. Chose and interesting cut!
But remember, what you need the most is confidence. Believe that you look sparkly and amazing in what you wear and everyone else will see it too!
ps. Is it ok that I'm in love with the background?

50+ BAGS UNDER 100€ TO LOVE THIS SUMMER

BAGS UNDER 100€ by ell0oukaa on polyvore.com
-use the arrows to change-
I've been using Polyvore for many years and I've gathered a great amount of stuff that I've liked. Some of them I've used, but no matter how many sets I make, and I make a lot, there will be items that you simply don't use. So, I decided to do some cleaning and make a list with bags under 100€ that are perfect for summer(not only!). You'll notice that some of them are designer, or resemble designer pieces. I know there are probably tons of other options if you go at Zara, H&M, Forever21 etc. but I didn't want to have a huge list that nobody would see till the end. I also know that there are a lot of pouches here. A product that you use most of the times to put stuff inside your actual bag. But pouches are a MUST this season and they are absolutely fun and easy to wear. It's summer, time to leave your huge tote in the closet and stop searching for hours to find your cell phone. Neons, pastels, florals, stripes, leather, pvc...it's all here. Crazy or classic, I believe there's a bag here for any taste, waiting for you to love it and make it your summer favorite!
I know we see way too many stuff that don't seem to worth the money, I mean a Fendi bag/key charm is worth 800$, that's outrageous considering that it has absolutely no use! It's Fendi though, you may say. Well here in this list, I've got Michael Kors, Kenzo, Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, J.Crew, Lulu Guinness, BCBG and much more. As I've said before, you don't need to be rich to be stylish and you can see that there are also some affordable designer choices. I won't stop until I convince all of you that you CAN'T buy your style. I believe that most of these bags here don't look under 100€ and will look great with any summer look you put together.
After that it's up to you! Chose your next love and enjoy^*

ELIE SAAB RESORT 2015

How's it going guys? I know, it's Monday again. I hope you had an amazing weekend! To cheer you up, I decided to do a post today about the new Resort 2015 collection by Elie Saab. There are really no words to describe how much I adore the designer. Every single time, the designs are amazing and better-if that's even possible. I don't know where to start since everything is so gorgeous. You probably love the famous gowns as much as I do. They make me daydream, feel like I'm watching a vintage movie. I am a big fan of contemporary fashion, but you could say that those pieces are my crushes and chic elegant timeless designs are my true loves. They are so beautifully simple and minimalistic and I love the way they compliment the light skin of the models(light skin tone girl talking^*). Feminine and sexy without being provocative and minimalistic without being boring. The pastel tones are simply to-die-for, and let's be honest here, it's much harder to look tacky with pastels than with neons no matter what you're wearing. I like that apart from the breathtaking gowns there are also some more casual pieces that you could wear at work or whenever you need an everyday yet polished look!
I simply can't pick my favorite, but frankly I never can! So you tell me! Which one of these is your favorite? Do you love Elie Saab like I do? Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!
