MONDAY'S FAVORITES

click on the photo for a larger version
Hey everyone! I know you hate Mondays, because, who doesn't? You have to wake up early, go to work/school, put up with your life. And I know this sounds like everyday, but when you do this right after spending two days relaxing, partying, being with friends or whatever you like to do in the weekends, it's not easier. It's harder. Plus, diets always start on Monday. I thought it would be nice to make a post to make Monday a little less well, Monday.
So, I created this sort of wish list, with a bunch of items that I've found this past week and that I would want to make mine. Let's start.
1. Denim white moto jacket-Topshop: So perfect for summer nights and spring. Go-with-everything and day-to-night piece that I would totally wear also early fall.
2. Stripped shirt-ZARA: Kinda androgynous piece, I would love it oversized with a pair of jeans or shorts but again it's GWE and DTN. Classic chic-yet young.
3. Priscilla Shocking Pink lip gloss-NARS: Vibrant fuchsia. Girly, trendy and fresh.
4. Beach dress-H&M: Is black and white a trend? Nah :P I would wear it not only at the beach. I like that it's stripped, but not so much.
5. Alluring Aquatic Collection nail polishes-MAC: I live for metallic nail polishes. I saw the entire makeup collection at the store and I loved it. But when I have to make a choice, I always go for nail polish. Especially if it's so damn amazing. All year long kind of thing.
6. Broderie cropped top-Stradivarius: I saw it on the model when I visited their site and I was like "I gotta have this!" -guilty!
7. Keith Haring top-Forever 21: From their new artists inspired collection. Not available in Europe :(

MY GREEK LITTLE PARADISE: ATHENS NATIONAL GARDEN

Happy Sunday everyone! Let's go back a few sundays, the day I visited the National Garden. I was born and raised in Athens and so did my parents and grandparents. I love Greece so much, for the natural beauty, the history, the sea and the sky. Sometimes it gets a little or a lot overwhelming in the big city. It feels like you need a getaway from the cars and the stress. So, you can imagine what a delight it is to be able to do that, without having to leave the city. The National Garden, used to be the Royal Garden, right next to the old palace that is now the parliament. So if you thought that this beautiful place is like in the suburbs or anything, you may want to rethink. It is right in the city center, I mean you can go there with any public transportation. It's peaceful, full of trees and flowers, and I'm sure that if I had more time, I would have seen more. One of the best parts is that everyone seems to be respecting the peacefulness of the place, because even though there were many people there, everyone was quiet and devoted to something. Jogging, reading, drinking a beverage, having a picnic or just enjoying some alone time in this beautiful place. You can also find a cafe inside it, and lakes and many more. I just love how the sun rays pass through the leaves creating a beautiful abstract pattern and how you can look up and see the tall palm trees and clear blue sky. Kinda reminds me of some scenes from old movies in the countryside of England(not the palm trees!), but with slightly more light! It's absurd to think that this huge place once belonged to only one person. But now it's free for everyone and I highly recommend you visit it. I promise you won't regret it!
Do you guys like this "little" paradise? Have you ever visited Athens? Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

LET'S GO TO BERMUDA

?More or Less? #7 -bermuda shorts-
Yesterday we were talking about shoes that "repel" men, but today I thought we should steal their style! Bermuda shorts are another trend this season, but they are not new at all. Men have been loving them for years and so have some women as well. But I just never thought that they are flattering or that they fit in my style. Sure thing, if you have a "perfect" body then you can wear these and look good, but it's a fact that they are not the most feminine piece you can find. So, I decided to create another ?More or Less? set, styling in a chic and feminine way bermuda shorts. If I had to chose, I would definitely go for a vivid color such as turquoise or this hot pink(two of my favorite colors). I paired it with all white, a peplum top, two tone espadrilles and bucket bag. I really like the gold triangle necklaces because they simply go with everything and you all know my love for pieces like that. It's always a delight to find such similar products in such different prices. I mean, apart from the Stella McCartney espadrilles that have smaller mesh and leather, everything else looks pretty much the same. But the price sure doesn't! I like this look because it's simple yet not so much, and if you keep everything else, you can pair them with almost any bermuda shorts or any other bottoms for that matter. All these white pieces are staples and must-haves in any closet for summer, whether you choose the expensive or the affordable version. It's up to you if you want to spend 400 for Marni or 17 for Target yada yada yada.
Do you guys like these looks? Are you a fan of bermuda shorts? Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

MAN-REPELLING SHOES

How's it going guys? Yesterday it was my name-day so I had a great time celebrating! Friends, family, deserts and presents! I love presents and shopping so much, so when I have time and I can't go to the stores, I like to do some window shopping online, even without buying anything. Just checking what's around all over the world. So I couldn't help but notice a new growing trend in shoes. I usually like to experiment and try crazy unexpected shoes, but this is really not my style. I kept thinking that they won't last, but since more and more women are getting them, I thought I should ask your opinion about these. They are a combination of Birkenstock, gladiator sandals, flatforms and cleated soles. Truly man-repelling shoes, that everyone seems to want! I've seen them styled in many ways, from jeans and shorts to dresses and wide-leg pants. I have to admit that they look good on some girls, but I don't think they are very flattering. I never was a huge fan of flatforms after all. I searched all my favorite stores and I found so many different, but yet so same, pairs. I don't find these shoes pretty at all, but a trend is a trend for a reason. If i'm not going to wear these myself, I should at least show them to you and see what you think. As always, I'm proposing both, designer and more affordable pieces. The choice after that is up to you.
