SPRING TRAVEL ESSENTIALS♡

Hello my darlings! How are you today? I'm super pumped because my birthday is only a couple of days away and I just can't wait to celebrate! Also, May equals warmer weather and fun spring getaways. I love travelling so much and the little control-freak inside of me loves planning and packing and making lists.
So, I teamed up with HomeAway to share with you my top 5 essentials. The ones that I can't live without at home and, especially, when I travel!

Sunnies
I think that sunglasses are such a huge necessity all year round but you need them even more if you're going to be exposed to the sun a lot. It doesn't matter if you have light and sensitive eyes like I do or not, pick a stylish pair that flatters your face shape (I'm a sucker for anything cat-eye) and avoid wrinkling!

Book
I know that a lot of people prefer playing card games or listening to music, but I think that nothing can compare to a good book. I find peace when I'm reading at the beach and I'm taking a little break from technology. What I'm reading atm: The shell seekers

Sunscreen
I absolutely love my SPF, I'm pale as paper though so i don't really have a choice XD) but I still need to remind myself to reapply every now and then. Cause wrinkles and melanoma are not chic my dears haha.

Cocktails
When it's hot and sunny I can't even find enough energy to eat. All I want to do is lay under the umbrella with a cold colorful drink in hand. Whether it's alcohol or delicious invigorating juice, that's up to you ^*

Hat
Hats are my go-to fashion staple whenever I travel. They look awesome, they protect you and they can be a great way to hide a bad hair day at a humid place. I really want to try a big one like Rachel's once.

Looking for the best place to go? As for my destination of choice? Greek islands of course! Don't just stick to Santorini, there are so many equally breathtaking places to visit ;) Trust me!
What about you guys? Will you go anywhere? What are your top 5 essentials to pack? Let me know in the comments below♥

MY GREEK LITTLE PARADISE: EASTER BY THE SEA

Hey guys! Happy Easter again! Like I told you in my last post, here we celebrated this past weekend. I honestly had such an amazing time these two days.
I took some time off from all the studying and stressing and got to relax and have fun with my family and friends. These photos here are from Sunday, when we went on a road trip. It's quite of a long drive to a tavern we go to this time every year and we get to spend the entire day at different places near the sea. So, what you see here are four different beaches and a lake near the beach.
Going at the beach, especially during this time of the year is like therapy to me. Taking long walks, sitting on the cliffs and just breathing. Unfortunately living in a big city sometimes makes me feel like I can't breathe. Also, feeling the sun on my skin for a change was a great break from studying and staying inside all day. So, long story short, I got to recharge my batteries and feel happy for a little while^^
What did you guys do this weekend? Have you ever been at any of these places? Let me know in the comments below♥

TRAVELWEAR

TFIOS ♥
TFIOS ♥ by ell0oukaa featuring a white tank top
Hey guys! I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while. I feel so bad, not only because I want to update my blog with new stuff for you as often as possible, but also because it makes me happy to blog about the things I like. But, as I've told you before, I'm going through a very difficult period and I have no time left. In addition to that, the Wi-Fi stops working every five minutes so I can't do anything. I can't do some research, find new stuff, post on the blog, watch videos... It's down as we speak.
Simply amazing♥
But let's get to the point now. I know that a lot of you are about to go on vacation. We've talked before about the things you need to pack, but there is another big question that needs to be answered. What to wear when you travel. The truth is that there is no right answer to that. But if I had to choose, I'd say, something comfortable. This doesn't necessarily mean sweatpants and pajama-like style. If you are like Victoria Beckham, it means stilettos, if you are like most people it means flats, and if you are like me, it means jeans. But it also depends on the destination and, of course, on the way you are choosing to get there.
Now I realise...
Let's start with the plane. Even if where you're about to go is tropical and extremely hot, the odds are that you're about to get cold on the plane. It's the air conditioning. But, no worries. The key is to dress smart. Choose your outfit, whether it's polished or casual and keep it warm with long pants. I always go for pants over skirt, but that's just me. Pair your tank top, t-shirt or sleeveless blouse (or dress) with a slouchy cardigan, a light-wear hoodie, an over-sized shirt, even a blazer. Here I added a leather jacket, but this seems a little too much. But again, it depends.
Where did the flowers go?
If you insist on wearing heels, then opt for a lower or thicker heel. My ideal case would be ankle booties. This way, your outfit will still look more put together but also effortless and completely stylish.
Now you're just somebody that I used to know!
If you travel by boat or by car/bus somewhere warm, then you can go for shorts or skirts, if that's your thing. My only hesitation is that you don't know where you'll be sitting and what has touched this seat. So maybe you don't want your bare legs touching that. Just saying.
Even if it’s warm, it’s always a good idea to bring some extra cover-up, just in case. If you’re travelling by boat, at night to an island, then you shouldn’t even consider not taking something to keep your arms from chills.
I never part with my beloved converse when I travel. Sneakers, loafers, ankle boots and espadrilles are definitely a better choice than flip-flops for numerous reasons that I’m not going to state now.
\All over^*
Add a bag big enough to fit all your necessities in it, passport, book, phone, headphones, gum, sanitizer, wipes etc. and you are good to go. I like to use a backpack or a tote that I can throw over my shoulder to keep my hands free. But again, these are comfort issues and are completely up to you.
Spend more time worrying about your ticket and passport than worrying about your clothes. Dress smart and comfy and enjoy travelling
