GETTING PERSONAL...♡

Hello my darlings! Are you freezing your everything off where you live? Or is it just us here in Greece? I guess it's a small price to pay for the wonderful weather we have the rest of the year. That header, for example, showing me enjoying the awesome greek summer back in August. Btw, I obviously can swim, and I used to do it competitively, but I just love to relax in my floatie♥ Oh how I miss it!

Anyway, today, I wanted to take a tiny break from our fashion chats and talk about something a little more personal, and more real and important, if you will.

I just wanted to say that I've been so stressed and in such a bad mental state lately and I'm trying so hard to get over it. I want you guys to know that I am here, if you ever need someone to talk to :)

I know exactly how bad it can get and I know that sometimes it may feel like you're powerless. But you're not. You are the boss, you control yourself and it is your choice to not let anything and anyone affect you. You are the most important one and you are beautiful-inside & out-just the way you are. Don't let them convince you you are not worthy of something/someone or that you are just not enough.

I think the most important thing I have to say, apart from advising you to believe in yourselves-if you can dream it you can do it!- is that you are in fact way stronger than you think. And way better than you're letting yourself admit. All those people you see, so confident and full of themselves, they've got nothing on you. They just know how to fake it. Or they are ignorant enough to believe that they are perfect. Nobody is or ever will be perfect. The sooner you realise that, the better.

Everyone is unique and we should learn to love ourselves first, before we seek love and approval from others. After all, their opinions couldn't matter less. If you think you can get better, by all means, go ahead and shine! But, stop beating yourself up and being so hard and mean on you.

If you feel like you are not enough, work harder. If you feel like you can't make it, just know that you can. This is coming from someone who had a panic attack, two days ago, and couldn't breath properly or function, or stop crying. And for something so unimportant.

Talk to others, make them understand and, most importantly, talk to yourself (even out loud if you need to) and accept who you are. Accept your flaws and your imperfections, embrace your good qualities. And never, ever, let anyone bring you down. After all, at the end of the day, all you're left with is yourself. And you should be thankful you are so amazing!

Family, boys, friends, school, work...they are all important in their own way. But, most of them are also so ephemeral. They come and go so fast. And all you're left is the scars that you let happen. Cherish the good times, make great memories, create strong bonds and let go of anything toxic that is poisoning your thoughts. Life is too short to worry about them-or anything.

Take a deep breath, do more of what makes you happy and, relax, and love yourself ♥

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

My dear female readers, this post is dedicated to you, to us to be more precise! First of all, happy women's day! I hope that you are spending this day with people who love and appreciate you, with people that make you feel the way you deserve to.
Most people often associate women with clothes and makeup and "feminine stuff", but I believe this is not entirely true. Sure, we all love these, but this is not what defines us, what makes us women. I think it's the way we see things differently, our compassion, our creative touch, our sensibility and so much more.
I remember watching a video where younger girls and grown women were asked what it is like to do things "like a girl". The message was that in most cases grown women were underestimating themselves and demonstrating the ironic perception of the modern society. Women are weak, women can't play sports, women are not smart enough.
Personally, I find that this couldn't be more wrong. I know women who are stronger than most men, just like I know men who are not good at sports and men who are not "smart enough". It's simply human nature! We can't all be the same and have all the same talents and abilities. Men usually have more muscle strength, but let me remind you that we go through monthly periods, childbirth(sometimes more than once), we take care of the house and the whole family and we go to work too. And we manage to do all these in high heels. Name one man who can do that.
My point here is not that women are superior but just that we are all human and we all deserve to be treated as equals and have the same rights and liberties.Racism, exploitation, harassment and discrimination against women are part of our everyday lives and, unfortunately, so is rape and abuse. I don't believe in violence or war, but I believe in fighting for what you deserve and standing for what you believe.
The moment both sexes realise the importance of equal rights and mutual respect, that's when all the long-standing efforts of women will have paid off.
Today, for me, is about realising how much you truly matter and why you all deserve the best. I hope that you can all find the strenght you need and live your lives to the fullest. Don't let anyone stop you, tell you you're not worth it, not good enough. Don't let anyone, and especially yourself keep you from succeeding and being happy. You deserve it!
Now, in case nobody thought of offering you flowers today-nobody did for me-here is a pretty bouquet. To you, with love♥

SOPHIA WEBSTER FOR J.CREW

Hey guys! Sorry I didn't post for some days but things were pretty hectic here. I had some french exams and I hope I did well(fingers crossed!). Now that it's done, I haven't realised it yet and I'm super tired, but I felt I needed to make this post. If you've read my blog before, you probably know that I have a huge shoe addiction, and also that I love Sophia Webster. One thing you may not know is that I also really like J.Crew. It is a perfect combination of stylish pieces for every occasion in a reasonable price most of the time! So you can obviously guess how excited I am about this collaboration. Surprisingly, this is one of the designer's most "normal" collections. I mean no wings, no animals, nothing like that for that matter. Even though I am absolutely crazy about these, I know that some people find them "too much". I don't understand, since all of her designs are to die for, but it's good to have some pairs for the ones who want something different but are not ready to take a big step(literally?). I admire Sophia Webster so much and I look up to her. I am just a baby designer right now, but she is such a huge inspiration. After all, her designs reflect my personality in more than one ways. I'm pretty sure that all my friends will hate this post but I hope that you guys like it! Or you could just be inspired to step out of your comfort zone and spice things up!
Normal is boring ;)
What do you guys think of this collection? Do you like Sophia Webster? Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

MET GALA 2014 VS 2013

We've all heard about the Met Gala. Fund raising event of the Metropolitan Museum that tons of celebrities attend every year. Glamorous and exclusive. According to Wikipedia, in 2014 the ticket for each guest costed 25,000$! Whaaat! Of course all of our favorite celebrities were there this year, and some of their outfits were to die for. I thought it would be fun to do a little competition between 2013 and 2014. Here are my favorite looks. I'm going to start with my love, Cara Delevingne. I won't spend any of your time blabbering about how much I admire her and how gorgeous she is. I'm just going to say that she wore pants at an event where almost everyone wears a gown. She could totally wear anything and look perfect, but I must admit that I also loved her last year's dress. Tough decision...
I definitely prefer Diane Kruger's 2013 look. Edgy and interesting.
The Olsens decided to cool things down a little. Chic!
Giesel rocks 2013, but she is divine in 2014!
The lovely Emma Stone. Can't decide(hu-pink-hu).
2014! 2014! Karolina Kurkova
Sarah Jessica Parker calmed things down as well. Love 2014's hair!
Liu Wen made it so hard to chose! McQ! No, Posen! No, wait...
Riri, with her cropped top and the total white look. Simply...wow!
(I couldn't find a photo of her in 2013...)
Dakota Johnson! Love her dress but still can't decide about her...
Zac Posen stole my heart. Arizona Muse, amazing!
Mustard is not in my top favorite colors, silver is! 2014 for Lily Aldridge!
It looks like Amber Heard has a great taste ;) Just saying...
Karlie Kloss makes me feel smaller than I already am but I can't help it, I love her! Definitely 2014!
 Queen B on fire!
Kristen Stewart in Chanel Haute Couture SS14! Sorry 2013...
Blake Lively is my girl! She can do no wrong!
And my favorite from 2014...
Suki Waterhouse in Burberry♥
What do you guys think of these looks? Which year was your favorite? Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

MIGATO SHOES

My unhealthy addiction for shoes and bags is no secret, especially if you've read my blog before. So, here I am again, with another post for Spring-Summer 2014. Migato, is a greek brand established about 30 years ago and maintains right now 120 stores around the world. Apart from bringing to us amazing shoes and bags for many years, the brand has also contributed to Athens Exclusive Designers Week, making the shows instantly even more interesting.  Thinking of all these, I decided to take a look at their new collection, not only as a blogger, but also as a customer. I was pleasantly surprised! There is a wide range of all the styles you could possibly want. Flats and sandals, wedges and pumps, sneakers and ankle boots. And, of course, clutches, totes, shoulder bags etc. Another thing that I liked, was the selection of colors. I fell in love with the nudes and the pastels, but I was also intrigued by the black&white ones. It is after all a big trend this season. I even found gladiator sandals (and that's the third post I'm taking about these!), but I can't help it. It its really hard to chose only one thing from their collection, since there are so many and I want them all-as always! Here are some of my favorites! If you want to check out the rest of Migato's collection, visit their website http://www.migato.gr/
What do you think of this greek brand? Do you like the products? Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!
