HAIR DO'S & DON'TS (ft. Madison Reed) ♡

Hello my loves! How is your weekend going so far? I'm still struggling with my finals but I thought I should share this fun post with you. It's all about hair!
Long story short, I teamed up with Madison Reed to share with you our favorite hair do and don'ts and bust some popular myths. Although I'm no hair expert, I do work with a popular hair salon so I know some tricks. If you want the opinion of the pros though, you can check out the list at the end of the post! Also, you can take a fun hair color quiz! Now let's see my list...

DO

 - Cut your split ends at home: Just take a small pair of scissors-the one you would use for your nails-and when you see a split end cut it. It's important to cut right where it starts, otherwise you'll end up with completely messed up hair.
- Use hair masks(DIY or not):  to hydrate and strengthen your hair, especially if you are an avid heat lover.
- Wash the night before: It saves you so much time in the morning! If you take that extra time to put them in a tight bun or braid etc. and prep them right, I guarantee you'll wake up with perfect ready-to-go hair!
- Let your hair dry before blow drying: You should let your hair air dry or dry in the towel up to 80% before you use heat. Not only it takes less time, but it also causes less damage.

DON'T

- DIY lighter hair: I'm usually all about DIYs but, trust me, this one doesn't work. If you have dark hair and you want to go lighter or add highlights and stuff, don't try it at home. At least not at first. I tried to go blonder at home and I ended up with orange hair XD

- Bleach too often: It damages the hair and makes it weaker. Enjoy your natural hair color as long as you can ;)
- Comb curly hair: Unless you want to look like a frizzy poodle. In that case, go for it! Brush your hair after you wash it, only while it's still wet, to detangle it. Otherwise you'll ruin your beautiful curls.
- Trust Pinterest too much: Or any other hair DIY you find online. Be extra careful, because some tricks/treatments etc. don't work for everyone(or anyone!).

GREY PASTEL FOR SPRING♥

Hey guys! What is up? How is your week going so far? A lot of hard work? I feel you. Did I say have a nice month already? If I didn't I'm sorry! I wish you all a lovely March!
I don't know about you, but I feel like spring is kinda here and I feel it affecting me. My birthday is in spring so, yeah, I love it.
Anyways, do you remember which used to be the biggest hair trend last year? No. it's not ombre nor balayage. If your answer was pastels, then congratulations! Pastels were huge last spring and summer. Everyone, from Katy Perry who is the queen of colors, to Nicole Richie, to the girl who lives next to you, had pastel hair.
Sadly(or nah XD), this year, this trend was faded quite a lot. No more vibrant, hot colors. The it trend this season is, surprisingly enough, grey! That's right. The color most women dread, suddenly became their new obsession. Now, if you ask me, I love this trend. It's chic yet kinda edgy and you don't have to worry about wearing other colors that don't match your hair. My only doubt is that grey may not flatter every skin tone.
I love clean silver, but I think that mixing light pastels into grey, is much more interesting, cool and young. That is the real deal. Grey hair with hues of light pink, blue or purple[or a combo^*] or even light blonde. Maybe you instantly think of grunge looks and chokers when you hear that but, as you can see in the photos here, any style looks great with it. Others are more subtle and others more vibrant, but grey is one of the hottest trends.
You obviously have to bleach your hair before doing any of that, but if you are really into it, I say do it. It's kinda rebellious, but is much safer than a bright pastel from your roots to your tips.
So, what do you guys think about this new color-trend? Would you ever do it? Let me know in the comments below♥

CELEBRITY HAIR 2014

Hey guys! I hope you're having a great week. If not, then you should just look at the girls in this post. I'm sure they'll make you feel much better. After all, this is the reason this blog exists. To make you, and me, feel good and share our passion about all the beautiful things in this world!
Hair is very sensitive matter to me. God knows how crazy my hair is(and maybe my mum) but I wouldn't last a day without it. I just love it so much. Not just my hair, any woman's and man's hair, provided that they take good care of it. Just like everything else, it is a way to express ourselves and show a part of our personality to the world. I just feel that our hair is a something very strong and can determine things, if treated correctly. I know that not everyone is blessed with "perfect hair", but there's no such thing as perfect. Sure, some is easier to handle, but clean and healthy hair are just a delight no matter the type. Talking about perfection, I thought it would be nice to make a post about my favorite celebrity hair of 2014. Both favorite, celebrities and hair^* You can find some of them also in my article about the Best Hair Colors for Spring 2014.
Let's start with the gorgeous lady above, Emma Stone. I swear, this girl can do no wrong. Red, blonde and now a little bit of both! Combined with her amazing eyes and skin tone, and face and personality and talent, well...just...no words!
Moving on to Queen B. I must admit I don't always love the things she does with her hair, but when I saw her in Drunk in love(161.718.727 views btw!) I was hooked! She changed it, again, but I liked her waves!
I swear, I don't think I've ever seen Blake Lively looking anything but just amazing. Or maybe it's just me because she is one of my "girl crushes"(girls I admire and love and want to be like-dreaming!) You'll find many of them here. Blake sticks to her beautiful long blond hair, and we just thank her for doing so!
Again, I find it so hard to describe my loved ones. Cara Delevingne is simply out of this world. Ever since I saw her, I knew she had something special. Dark blond long hair and dark eyebrows and this cute beautiful face of hers!
The lovely Emma Watson has been in my fave-list for many many years now. Yes, I am a Harry Potter addict, and a proud one too! And an Emma addict as well. Actress, model and simply and icon. After having crazy hair at the first HP films, she prefers much shorter versions, or just sweet updos. An updo expert for sure!
I also love Hunger Games in case you didn't know. Jennifer Lawrence with her new way-too-miley-cyrus look, certainly won me. I think that not many woman can pull off a such short hair. But this talented girl with the beautiful eyes, can. I prefer her blonde!
Miranda Kerr is my bestie's favorite girl. Only I know how many times we went to Mango last year without buying anything, just for her to get the catalogs with Miranda! But I like her very much too. She sure sets a great example for all of us the brunettes, with her sleek long, oh so good, hair. She is a cutie and a VS model, duh! XD
I saved the craziest for the end. The fierce Katy Perry! She has had the entire rainbow and a little more on her hair, and she managed to rock each color, like only she can. I love her in colors and I love her in her not-so-simple black hair. I don't like labels very much, but me and my mum(yes i converted her!) would be proud Katycats if we had to choose. I'm so sad she isn't coming in Greece for her tour, but one day Katy, I'll come watch you perform!
I know this was half, favorite hair of 2014, and half, me blabbering about my fave girls, but you have to understand! Some of these ladies here are my idols! I hope you enjoyed!
Do you guys like these girls and their hair? Tell me about your idols! Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

SMELLS LIKE THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING

Here in Greece, when we want to say that something smells divine, we often say that it smells like the first day of spring!
I wanted to create an outfit that would capture this smell, in a way. Just casual chic with a hint of craziness and playfulness, something to make the transition easier. This floral top was the best I could find in my closet because everything else was just too light for this weather. I added the colorful bracelets and the rose ring and of course, my current obsession, the gold heart necklace. I'm actually wearing tons of bracelets on my other wrist but you can't see it here. To make the outfit a little more March-appropriate, I threw on this gorgeous jean shirt, which instantly makes the whole look less crazy and street-ready. To get in the mood, I also braided my hair. I love braids because you can do so many different things and conceal crazy frizzy hair any day(the girls with curly hair probably get me)! Just to make the look more natural, I ditched the makeup and I'm only wearing Baby Lips lipbalm, another huge obsession. No mascara, no liner, no concealer, no blush. I must admit it felt good, only a little uncomfortable since the camera is always ready to capture any imperfections. But, who cares? I just love springtime because you can be more casual and much less polished than winter. Especially during summer, because my eyes are light and I get tan, I don't even need to wear mascara. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love wearing makeup and, also, trying new products and new ways to apply them. But when you do this all the time, your skin can be damaged and you constantly need to apply creams etc. This is why I feel so good whenever I have the chance to let my skin breathe. Spring is here and it's our chance to be bright and colorful. Ditch the blankets and leave the couch(but never EVER your tea) and go out! Wear something unexpected and SMILE!
